Thank you for your interest in the STOP Suicide Northeast Indiana coalition. The coalition began in 2013 to work collaboratively to combat suicide and support families following a loss by suicide. Since the inception, more than 30 organizations have come together to work on organization and community strategies to reduce suicide risk and loss in northeast Indiana.
Community Partners Include
Anyone may join the STOP Suicide Northeast Indiana coalition. The coalition meets on the second Monday of even months (February, April, June, August, October, and December) at 11:30-1:00 at a place called Chad’s House (behind The Carriage House, 3327 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805).
STOP Suicide Northeast Indiana is an alliance of stakeholders who seek to raise awareness and take action to STOP suicide.

Purpose of the Coalition
Create a prevention, intervention, & postvention -focused coalition in northeast Indiana that will:
Identify and understand suicide-related community issues that affect individuals and families.
Develop a framework for planning and implementing prevention, intervention, and postvention strategies.
Improve access to support for people at-risk of suicide.
Use shared resources to increase awareness within our communities.
Improve ability for organizations to work together to prevent suicide.
Improve ability to identify and measure community-wide indicators – reduce suicide deaths and attempts.
Improve communication and information between organizations, especially between agencies and law enforcement to ensure people are safe.
Improve the support and resources that family members and loved ones receive after a suicide death.
